PHASE intends to support underprivileged schools and charitable organizations in more effectively understanding, managing, and enhancing their energy systems, and to promote equitable urban electrification through this cooperation.
PHASE will begin by conducting on-site energy audits at each of its partner organizations. Data collected through the audits will include information on the institution's energy consumption patterns, how often each appliance is used, barriers to accessing energy, and limitations on what appliances can be used due to space or weight restrictions. The data will then be analyzed to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in energy systems.
With these insights in mind, PHASE will produce detailed Urban Electrification Reports that will assess the environmental and economic consequences of energy policy across the entire city. It will also evaluate the practicality of renewable energy solutions such as rooftop solar and other sustainable technologies.
PHASE will also develop a six-part Tech Pack, which will help students, teachers, and residents learn about responsible consumption of energy, sustainable infrastructure in urban areas, renewable technology, and energy conservation led by citizens. Furthermore, PHASE will run fundraising initiatives to acquire solar-powered light solutions for teachers and students who cannot afford them. Ultimately, PHASE will enable people who collect energy data to make better decisions and help facilities reduce energy costs, increase energy efficiency, and ultimately convert to renewable energy systems.
